In the moments you felt alone
Struggling to find peace
I was there to help you see
Wrapping my love around your grief
Whispering, I believe
Wiping tears from your cheeks
Through clouded days
During the darkest nights
Giving you my everything
I was
I did
I have
Caring so much
But you couldn’t see
Perspective outside your needs
Compassion reciprocating
No such thing
Leaving me empty
Ignored completely
Today, I see
Reality
Clarity
I would never be
You would never see
Renewal, my priority
Renew

So beautiful!! It started out so sweet and I actually almost thought it was a mother-child poem until it got later into the poem. Well done, as always!
Thank you so very much ❤ After going back and reading it again, I can see your perspective at how it seems to be mother-child in the beginning, thanks for sharing your thoughts xoxo
You’re welcome! My daughter had a procedure today so I think I was feeling especially maternal…probably why my mind ventured down that road first. You’re welcome! Xoxo
Oh I hope your daughter is ok and recovering from the procedure! I know how stressful and heartbreaking it is to see our babies go through something like that, despite if they are 7 or 37, such a helpless feeling. Sending my thoughts and hugs xoxo
Yeah she is a bit grumpy and wobbly but doing well and things looked good, thank you. I really appreciate that, Taylor! Thanks so much!!
❤
Oh, I loved your piece of poetry “Renew.” Felt every piece of ache in it. Well done! You can find your link in my post too!
Thank you Linda, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and kindness xoxo
